So first of all, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who came out and submitted stuff to ReMx:ThaSauce over the past few weeks. We really appreciate it, guys. There's so much great music out there just waiting to be heard, and we wanna make sure it reaches as many people as possible.
I've gone ahead and posted what I have TAGGED AND READY to be posted in the thread on the QC forums. This isn't a concrete list of what I have, or what's going to be direct posted, but more an idea of where I am RIGHT NOW. Expect some updates to this thread, and the QC forums in general over the next week or so. Our Arbiters are probably going to have to come out of hibernation for a bit, too =P

On top of that there's been some dicussion about reforming VGDJ @ OCR, and it brought up the reminder that WE haven't done a podcast in some time. I'd been busy with finishing up school, and starla had a few things she's been taking care of too. I think we're ready to start getting something going again, and I know I said I'd have one ready by last Friday, but really there's just so much to cover we're having trouble fitting it all into 1 show. Anywhere we're pretty close to (if not totally done with) ironing out what we plan to put in the next show, so you guys should expect one VERY VERY SOON...but seriously.

Lastly I'd still like to remind people that, even though I got a good ammount of submissions lately, they're still pretty far and few between overall. So keep'em comin'. We wanna make sure all the music we can gets to as many people as possible, and the best way to do that is to have a constant flow of stuff coming in.

So, some people think we're dead, but we're not. I ASSURE YOU. We're just in a dry spell for submissions (unofficial count right now is 1 to be QC'd and 1 to be posted, but don't quote me on that because I'm not exactly checking RIGHT NOW). That in mind...SUBMIT. If you submitted before and have new stuff? Submit! If you submitted before and got rejected? SUBMIT! If you know someone who has a song that they've finished but haven't posted it anywhere or got it rejected from OCReMix? Tell them to submit! If you submitted a song and it didn't get posted and it didn't go to the qc RESUBMIT! It happens sometime (except you, Bren. I got you.)

To help with the whole submission e-mail confusion, I've updated the QC thread to show what we have recieved.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR SONG IN THIS THREAD, WE HAVE NOT RECIEVED IT AND IT NEEDS TO BE RESUBMITTED.

We apologize for the inconvience, and are doing our best to continue to deliver quality game arrangements to the community and all that crud.

Seriously people. I have 1 song that needs to be resubmitted because of the server swap, 1 song to be QC'd, and nothing else. I can't post more songs if I don't HAVE more songs.

If you submitted a song and I lost it...resubmit it.

If you made a song and didn't submit it...submit it.

If you're thinking making a song and maybe submitting it...submit it.

If you already submitted it to OCR...submit it.

If you know a cool song that isn't on OCR...contact the artist and have them submit it.

Seriously people.

Hear this: If you submit a song to R:TS that is hosted on Googlepages you will IMMEDIATELY be blackballed for no less than 5 years with no exceptions. I don't care if you're Yasunori Mitsuda, I'm not going to try 15 times to get your song downloaded entirely.Ok, so that's a bit of an exagerration, but the 15 times is NOT. Seriously if you need hosting, ASK US. We have more than enough space and bandwidth, seriously. In the meantime JUST ATTACH THE SONG TO YOUR E-MAIL. IT'S COOL I PROMISE.

ID3v2 Update

If anyone has any trouble downloading any songs lately, it's because I've been reuploading all of them to fix a number of ID3v2 issues. There were a few tags that were inconsistent with out conventions, but most importantly since I have a Mac now I noticed that without the "album artist" field filled in, the songs won't group together under a single album. So I made sure to update all of them and am in the process of re-uploading.

Should be done sometime later this morning, followed by a new song post!

Yesterday R:TS introduced 2 new arbiters, remixers Cerrax & EazyP, to help speed along the queue & it didn't take them too long at all to jump into the fray.
This will hopefully help the queue move along more quickly as Suzu and Xerol become more occupied with other things. HOWEVER it's important that everyone remember that, regardless of whether you're an arbiter or not, your opinion counts. After all, ThaSauce is all about the community, and R:TS is about enjoyability. If you don't agree with one of the arbiters or myself with why you feel otherwise. Make sure to clearly state your point, and now "That vote is BULLSHIT." If we're convinced that users will enjoy the song, then it'll get posted.

ReMix:ThaSauce [finally] implements tagging system

So after much discussion on the forums, and a metric ton of procrastination, we've FINALLY added the experimental tagging system to R:TS.

The R:TS tagging system is now online and operational.

You can look at the existing tags on each mix's page, by clicking the tags on the mix pages, and a complete tag list by click the Tags link next to Games in the navigational menu.

You can add new tags by clicking the Add New Tag link in the tags section of the mix you want to add the tag to, and logging in with your ThaSauce user and pass on the next page.
